GAS Bridge for QuickBooks

Connect, disconnect or reconnect

GAS Bridge for QuickBooks is the private, read-only link Genius Accounting Solutions uses to read a client's QuickBooks Online file. It cannot create, change or delete anything in your file.

Connect

GAS starts the connection with you, usually on a short call. You, or GAS as your accountant user, sign in to QuickBooks and approve the app for your company. You never send GAS a password.

Once it is connected, you will see "GAS Bridge for QuickBooks" in your QuickBooks app list.

Disconnect

You can turn it off at any time. It takes under a minute:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as an admin.
  2. Open Apps (or Settings, then Apps).
  3. Find "GAS Bridge for QuickBooks" and choose Disconnect.

GAS stops reading your file straight away. No data in your file is deleted. If you disconnected by mistake, just tell us.

Just disconnected? You're all set. GAS can no longer read your QuickBooks file. Nothing in your file has changed.

Reconnect

QuickBooks asks for the link to be renewed from time to time, or after it has been disconnected. To reconnect, contact GAS and we will book a few minutes to approve it again with you.
